Public schools in major cities are filled with dedicated people who rely on collaboration. These types of communities create learning experiences that support children and families for years to come, and IPaintMyMind is proud to be a small part of that.
Every art exhibition we curate into local communities supports kids, families, and leaders like YOU who are devoted to making schools, libraries, and youth centers as engaging and catalytic as possible, creating untold possibilities for children and families, no matter where they are from
AN ART EXHIBITION FOR YOUR SCHOOL, HOW COOL IS THAT?
We’ve curated and methodically acquired a growing art collection, representing 50+ artists in various mediums – illustration, photography, collage, and more.
Join our community by hosting a rotating art exhibition in your public school, turning your space into a bold, energetic gallery for everyone who enjoys the space! We also deliver our 10+ page Art Guide as a tool for any leader in your school community to engage folks around the art through activities, curriculum, and free art resources.
The experiences we co-curate for your community are focused on you, your goals, and your vision. With over 1500 pieces of art to choose from, we’re confident in our ability to deliver delight by transforming your space through accessible & fun art.
1. APPLICATION + SITE VISIT
Start by hitting either of the APPLY NOW buttons on this page to give us more info on your community. There are a limited number of slots so first come, first served!
Once your participation is confirmed, our Community Outreach Team will reach out to get to know you & schedule a time to visit your space to think about the most impactful areas for an art exhibition.
2. SELECT YOUR ART
After deciding how much art will work for your space, our Curators and Program Managers will work with you to select art that fits your communities mission and personality.
We have a wide range of art in many accessible mediums, and we’re always confident of our ability to find something perfect for your community.
3. WE INSTALL YOUR ART
We frame, transport, and install your customized art exhibition which you keep for 6 months (10 months for schools), creating an ongoing relationship that elevates, connects, and inspires.
Once our art leaves, you have a space to display art created by your community (or you could have us back for years to come)!
4. ENGAGE, SUPPORT, CONNECT!
After installing your art, we stay in touch to support your engagement efforts and deliver our Art Guide, which includes art exercises, free art resources, field trip suggestions & more.
By staying in touch throughout your exhibition and highlighting other important arts resources, we aim to offer a really well-rounded program.
5. ARTIST WORKSHOPS
After using our Art Guide, we work with you to add programming touch points to your Shared Walls exhibition, further engaging your community around the process behind making the art they’ve been enjoying.
Namely, we offer an Artist Workshop where we invite the artist whose work is on display to present to a class or group.
Shared Walls™ is a rotating art gallery for your community. It’s the only program of it’s kind that is building a large art collection for the purpose of displaying it in community spaces, making it a great way for your school, library, or youth center to enhance the space, bolster the curriculum offered, and connect kids with art being made right in their backyard.
The program is completely FREE to community spaces in Year 1 and then available through grant or other funding in Years 2+. Whether PTO’s, fundraising campaigns, or other available budgets, we are excited to work with you year after year, delivering delight and new possibilities through art.
By inspiring children citywide by making art accessible to them, we hope to help facilitate moments of creative inspiration that move the world forward.
